این دوره جهت آشنایی با مفاهیم نظری تعبیر رویا در روانکاوی طراحی شده است. گوش دادن، شنیدن و کار کردن با رویا از ابتدا یکی از وجوه اصلی درمان تحلیلی بوده و مهارت در شنیدن رویا نقش مهمی در شیوه و نتیجه ی کار درمانگران تحلیلی دارد. در این دوره ضمن مرور تاریخچه ی پیدایش «تعبیر رویا» در نظریه ی فروید، نگاه او به پدیده ی رویا در کنار مباحث معاصر مورد مطالعه قرار می گیرد. از شرکت کنندگان انتظار می رود مقالات هر کلاس را قبل از حضور در کلاس مطالعه کرده و آماده ی مشارکت فعال در کلاس باشند. شرکت کنندگان باید پس از هر کلاس یک یادداشت تحلیلی به مدرس ایمیل کنند. ارزیابی پایان دوره بر اساس نظم و کیفیت ارسال یادداشت های تحلیلی و میزان مشارکت در کلاس خواهد بود.
